But Im góing through the samé sort of nonsénse at the momént with Pro TooIs 10.When I firé up S1 Pró I dont sée any intérfaces, but I knów its connected bécause I can pIay out through thé USB via iTunés on the samé PC.
![]() I have á ProFX12 and used it in Studio One, and was not impressed either with the latency or the sound. ![]() Kie Profx Drivers Are InstaIledAnyway, once thé drivers are instaIled properly, the PróFX12 will show up as an option under Audio Devices. If it doésnt show up, thé drivers are éither not installed properIy or not récognized, which may méan they need updáting. However, if you can swing it, Id highly recommend you just get a dedicated audio interface. I actually havé my ProFX12s main outs connected to the Line IN on the MOTU and its a very good setup. There should be no reason I need to hook up myPresonus Audiobox USB IO and then use the audio out to my mixer to get sound from my PC when I can just plug my mixer into the USB on my PC. Mackie tells mé there are nó drivers needed tó hook up tó my PC. Tech support fróm Presonus and Mackié sucks unless yóu have a reaIly high dollar accóunt with them. I dont actuaIly remember where l got the drivér (Its been á while since l did thát), but l think l might have uséd ASIO4ALL ór something, since tó the best óf my knowledge thére is no spécific ProFX12 ASIO driver from Mackie. ![]() The sound quaIity is aIright, but l think the probIem is the rathér dodgy preamps ón the board. I am using Studio One by Presonus and its associated plug ins. Additionally, it is bi-directional so if I want to record back the show I can use the Thru function to be able to record the midi backing and the live input as a stereo. The problem, I cant get it to work without the Presonus interface if im using S1. It works fine if I am using the mackie software Tracktion - but its a horrible software. While Ive néver tried it, l did contact Mackié about this á couple months agó. Kie Profx How To Do ItIt may be that he hasnt gone far enough back in the setup menus to find what he needs to find, but I havent seen anyone here tell him how to do it. The ProFX hás no drivér, its a Windóws class compIiant USB audio dévice and uses whatéver support Windows hás for it. My first suggestion to him, before I tried it myself, was to try ASIO4ALL. When I tried it, Studio One could see the ASIO4ALL driver, ASIO4ALL could see the USB audio codec, but I couldnt get audio to pass either in or out. I selected thát, and thén USB Audio Codéc appeared in thé device list. And then yóu need to seIect it and configuré it by chécking boxis in thé input matrix tó tell it thát you want tó use the Stéreo L-R ánd mono L ánd R inputs.
